The eyeTests system offers a practical approach for assessing various aspects of visual health, including visual acuity, near reading vision, macular function, color vision, and peripheral vision.

This portable setup includes configurable eye charts, near vision reading material, an Amsler grid for macular monitoring, color testing plates, an astigmatic chart, and a side vision assessment tool.

One notable feature is the remote control capability, allowing users to manage the scrolling of visual acuity charts via WiFi on any mobile device, tablet, or computer with internet access.

Designed for self-monitoring, eyeTests enables patients to track their own visual conditions conveniently. It also supports eye care professionals—including general practitioners, ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians—and students in testing and documenting parameters such as visual acuity, color deficiencies, macular health, and peripheral vision.

The system utilizes an easy-to-operate projector-style eye chart with adjustable distances suitable for both distance and near assessments. Compatibility options include measurements in metric (6m, 3m, 1.2m) and imperial units (20 feet, 8 feet, 4 feet, 16 inches). The tests can incorporate letter sizes, tumbling E symbols, or pictorial images tailored for children. Users can email their results directly from the device or app.

The macular function can be monitored with the integrated Amsler grid feature. Users can mark any perceived abnormalities directly on the grid and share these images with clinicians via email.

The color vision assessment employs pseudoisochromatic plates for detecting color deficiencies. Patients can draw on digital color plates to outline what they perceive and send their findings electronically for review.

The near vision reading test evaluates close-up reading ability across a range of sizes from N18 to N5, making it suitable for pediatric screening and presbyopia assessment.

Peripheral vision can be tested efficiently with a supra threshold method that assesses side vision quickly and simply. Results are transferable via email to healthcare professionals. For more comprehensive field testing, users are encouraged to download the dedicated VisualFieldsEasy app from the App Store.

For pre-verbal children who cannot communicate their visual experiences verbally, a forced preferential looking test can gauge visual perception by tracking the child's gaze toward engaging cartoon images.

Additional tools for clinicians include high-contrast cartoon images designed to maintain fixation during pediatric assessments.

To facilitate efficient management of clinical data, users should consider the ***eyePatients*** app available on the App Store; it offers an intuitive platform for storing and managing eye health information.

If individuals wish to track their personal eye health records conveniently, the ***eyeDiary*** app is recommended. It includes features such as personalized reminders for eye drops and health monitoring tools.
